The Stairmatic provides a convenient, cost effective and dignified solution to moving people, with a disability or mobility problems, up or down steps and stairways, where fitted stair lifts or elevators cannot be used due to space or expense. Attendant controlled and battery powered, the Stairmatic is easy to operate – the attendant simply presses a button on the handle bar. The Stairmatic is held in balance and powers up to 130kg (20 stone) up and down the stairway. Climbs and/or descends up to 1000 steps on a full battery charge (depending on the passenger’s weight and the climate conditions). Has a standard speed of 15 steps per minute.
